IF Relief® contains a combination of herbal extracts that may support the body’s natural process for dealing with muscle pain following exercise and massage. Turmeric spice is used in Indian and Chinese medicine and is a major component of curry powder. Curcumin, an active ingredient in turmeric root, has been studied extensively for its beneficial effects on health. Mangosteen pericarp is a source of potent antioxidants called xanthones. The xanthone gammamangostin appears to partially modulate the production of prostaglandins. In Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, andrographis is used to support the immune system. One major constituent of andrographis, andrographolide, helps modulate certain undesirable responses. Boswellia gum extract contains boswellic acids, which appear to modulate an enzyme that catalyzes leukotriene formation. White willow bark contains salicin. It appears to modulate the production of prostaglandins.
Why IF Relief®?
Our andrographis partner provides a consistent standard of quality by selecting the very best growing regions in India with fertile black soil. High in iron and lime, black soil retains moisture, which conserves water and creates high yield. They plant and harvest by hand and add organic compost. But wait, there’s more. The majority of their manufacturing power comes from hydro and solar energy sources. And our vendor employs local workers and offer meals, gym privileges and nursery facilities. Last of all, our botanicals are ethically sourced and non-GMO, because that’s what works best for you…and for us.
The story behind IF Relief®
Andrographis has been used for centuries in Asia, Africa and America for immune, digestive and circulatory support. Historically it was also used for a variety of things, including digestive and respiratory support.
Boswellia has been used for thousands of years to offset joint discomfort, gut stress and heart support.
Mangosteen grows in Southeast Asia where it has been popular for hundreds of years. Its unique phytonutrients support cardiovascular and immune system health. The dark purple pericarp is especially rich in antioxidants and beneficial xanthones.
Turmeric spice was used anciently by the Vedics in India, and for religious ceremonies in Southeast Asia. Marco Polo described it in wonder. Today turmeric is cultivated primarily in India where it’s referred to as haldi, manjal or yellow root. In Sanskrit, they call it bhadra (lucky), haridra (dear to hari, Lord Krishna) and jayanti (one that wins over diseases).
